Young People’s uses and experiences of health-related digital technologies and social media: Implications for physical education.


Dr Victoria Goodyear is a Lecturer in Pedagogy of Sport, Physical Activity and Health in the School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences, University of Birmingham UK. Victoria’s research focuses on young people and the role of digital technologies and social media in their health and wellbeing, from young people’s perspectives and experiences. Her work has been funded by research councils, trusts and industry and she has given invited talks nationally and internationally on these topics, as well as leading the first MOOC in physical education and sport pedagogy. Victoria’s recent book focused on digital technologies and learning in physical education. Her forthcoming book examines young people, social media and health.
